CLOSED-LOOP CONTROL SYSTEM

CLOSED-LOOP-

in a closed-loop control system the output has an effect on control action through a feedback and hence closed-loop control system are also termed
as feedback control system.

The control system without involving human intervention for operation are
called automatic control system.

A closed-loop control system using a power amplifying device prior to controller and the output of such a system being mechanical.

Ex. Position, velocity, acceleration is called servomechanism.

  • The closed-loop systems is complicated to construct and costly.

  • The closed-loop  system  can  become  unstable under  certain conditions.

In terms of the performance the closed-loop system adjusts to the effects of non-linearities present in its elements.
